A.E.N. (Agorist Emergency Network)

PURPOSE: TO CREATE AND ENABLE EMERGENCY MUTUAL SUPPORT NETWORKS ON SHORTWAVE RADIO, TO DISSEMINATE RELEVANT INFORMATION CONCERNING SHORTAVE RADIO AND THE EQUIPMENT, POWER, AND ANTENNA SET UPS REQUIRED. OUR INITIAL NETWORK IS AT 7235 KHZ, BUT OTHERS CAN AND SHOULD ESTABLISH THEIR OWN LOCAL NETWORKS. THIS NET IS FOR LICENSED AND UNLICENSED RADIO OPERATORS TO TEST THEIR EQUIPMENT AND SHARE INFORMATION. UNLICENSED OPERATORS CAN AND SHOULD TEST THEIR EQUIPMENT AND COMMS PRIOR TO AN EMERGENCY. “All stations, all stations, this is Doctor Freckles on the AGORIST EMERGENCY NETWORK standing by. We are standing by on 7235 kHz, every Sat/Sun night at 4 AM UTC for one hour, following the Planetary Status Report on WRMI out of Miami, 5950 kHz, Sat/Sun night at 3 AM UTC. We are a voluntary network of amateur licensed and unlicensed operators participating in a mutual aid and information net. We hope to use our contact list, in the case loss of internet and phone service, as a means of restoring some level of contact during an emergency. You can call in to test your equipment as an unlicensed operator. Call in now to the AGORIST EMERGENCY NETWORK, on or about 7235 kHz, Sat/Sun night, 4 AM to 5 AM UTC.
