A.E.N. (Agorist Emergency Network)

***NOTICE: I, and my partner, are unable to monitor 7235 kHz every Sat/Sun night. Sometimes conditions make it difficult or we are simply too tired. You can still test your equipment and make TEST contacts to verify the working order of your shortwave transceiver, please feel FREE to do this.

PURPOSE: TO CREATE AND ENABLE EMERGENCY MUTUAL SUPPORT NETWORKS ON SHORTWAVE RADIO, TO DISSEMINATE RELEVANT INFORMATION CONCERNING SHORTAVE RADIO AND THE EQUIPMENT, POWER, AND ANTENNA SET UPS REQUIRED. OUR INITIAL NETWORK IS AT 7235 KHZ, BUT OTHERS CAN AND SHOULD ESTABLISH THEIR OWN LOCAL NETWORKS. THIS NET IS FOR LICENSED AND UNLICENSED RADIO OPERATORS TO TEST THEIR EQUIPMENT AND SHARE INFORMATION. UNLICENSED OPERATORS CAN AND SHOULD TEST THEIR EQUIPMENT AND COMMS PRIOR TO AN EMERGENCY. PLEASE CALL IN.

Net Controller: Doctor Freckles

Network Statement:

“All stations, all stations, this is Doctor Freckles on the AGORIST EMERGENCY NETWORK standing by. We are standing by on 7235 kHz, every Sat/Sun night at 4 AM UTC for one hour, following the Planetary Status Report on WRMI out of Miami, 5950 kHz, Sat/Sun night at 3 AM UTC. We are a voluntary network of amateur licensed and unlicensed operators participating in a mutual aid and information net. We hope to use our contact list, in the case loss of internet and phone service, as a means of restoring some level of contact during an emergency. You can call in to test your equipment as an unlicensed operator. Call in now to the AGORIST EMERGENCY NETWORK, on or about 7235 kHz, Sat/Sun night, 4 AM to 5 AM UTC. For more information, email us at me@iamsully.com.”
